Monster Triple Cheese Burger

Triple Patty Cuz I’m a Fatty
Normally, my go to cheeseburger always involves double patties. A single one just won’t do it and honestly never has. It always left me hungering for more; probably a deep recessed memory involving those miniscule cheeseburgers from McDonald’s I had as a kid that could never fill me up. Now, on the other hand, a triple patty cheeseburger seems like overkill.
Don’t get me wrong. I have had a triple cheese every now and then but always at the end of the night in order to soak up the Modelos from a night of partying. Driving as much as I do for my full time job, a triple cheeseburger tends to weight heavy on the road going from point A to point B. So I normally try to avoid them as road food.
But at home, ain’t nothing stopping me from indulging in one! :). For this one, I decided to use Jalapeño Ranch instead of mayo. I needed the kick.
Ingredients for the Burger
- 3 3.5oz burger balls which will be smashed down on the grill
- Sesame seed buns (toasted)
- Lettuce, onions, pickles and tomatoes
- Salt, pepper, and garlic powder (I placed mine in a steel dredge shaker to make it easier)
- 3 slices of American cheese
Jalapeño Ranch
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Buttermilk to desired consistency
- 3 cloves of minced garlic
- 1/2 jalapeño microplaned (freeze jalapeño overnight)
- 1 tablespoon of chives
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 tsp paprika (I used smoked)
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (go easy, I went with a little extra and it was spicy!)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
I heated the grill to medium heat and coated with thin layer of avocado oil. Placed the burger balls and thinly smashed on the grill. Seasoned and then flipped after 3-4 minutes. After the first flip, I added the cheese and allowed it to melt before removing from the grill. Should take another 3-4 minutes.
Toasted the buns and then applied the ranch to both buns. Added the lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles then stacked the 3 patties and crowned with the bun. I did have some time to cut and deep fry some waffle fries.
Enjoy!
